  • ½ cup(s) shredded cheddar cheese, if desired
  • 4 tablespoon(s) cornstarch
  • 1 stick(s) butter or margarine
  • 1 quart(s) milk
  • ½ teaspoon(s) pepper
  • ½ teaspoon(s) Salt
  • ½ cup(s) chopped celery
  • + 2 more ingredients
    • ½ cup(s) chopped onion
    • 6 potatoes, peeled & diced (large)

In a large pan, place potatoes, onion, celery, salt & pepper in enough water to cover. Cook until tender. Do not drain. (Most of the water should be absorbed while cooking).
