Ingredients

  • Mix together in large heavy saucepan
  • 1 pound(s) brown sugar
  • Pinch of salt
  • ¾ cup(s) evaporated milk
  • 2 cup(s) pecan halves (½ lb)

Cook over low heat, stirring constantly until sugar is dissolved. Continue cooking over medium heat to soft ball stage (236°) stirring constantly. Cool slightly, then beat until mixture starts to thicken. Drop candy rapidly fro tablespoon on aluminum foil on greased cookie sheet. Allow to harden.
