Crème Brûlée with Berries


  • 1 tablespoon raspberry liqueur (optional)
  • 2 tablespoons (packed) golden brown sugar
  • 2 cups mixed berries (such as raspberries, blueberries, and sliced strawberries)
  • ½ cup plus 6 teaspoons sugar
  • 9 large egg yolks
  • 1 vanilla bean, split lengthwise
  • 1 ½ cups whipping cream

1. Preheat oven to 325°F. Place cream in heavy medium saucepan. Scrape in seeds from vanilla bean; add bean. Bring to simmer over medium heat.
