Creole Style Cabbage

Ingredients

  • 1 head(s) cabbage, cut up (small head)
  • 1 onion, chopped (small)
  • 1 clove(s) garlic, minced
  • 1 can(s) tomato sauce (8 ounce can)
  • ¼ teaspoon(s) ground thyme
  • ½ teaspoon(s) Salt
  • ¼ teaspoon(s) pepper
  • + 2 more ingredients
    • ¼ teaspoon(s) basil leaves
    • ½ pound(s) sausage

Sauté sausage, onions and garlic in a large skillet over low heat. Drain and add tomato sauce and seasonings. Simmer 10 minutes- add cabbage and stir to coat. Cook 15-20 minutes. Add small amount of water if sauce thickens too much.
