Creole Tomato Sauce

Ingredients

  • 1/3 cup dry white wine
  • 1/8 teaspoon ground red pepper
  • 1 teaspoon dried thyme
  • ¼ teaspoon kosher salt
  • ¼ teaspoon freshly ground lack pepper
  • 1 tablespoon minced garlic
  • ½ teaspoon dried oregano
  • + 4 more ingredients
    • ¾ cup finely chopped onion
    • ¾ cup finely chopped red bell pepper
    • 1 (14 1/2-ounce) can diced tomatoes, undrained
    • 1 tablespoon olive oil

Sauté first 6 ingredients in hot oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat about 5 minutes or until vegetables are tender. Add wine, and cook until most of the liquid evaporates.
