  • 1 ¼ cups almond flour or almond meal*
  • ¼ cup sugar
  • 8 sheets fresh phyllo pastry or frozen
  • ½ cup apricot preserves
  • 1/8 teaspoon salt
  • 5 tablespoons heavy whipping cream

    • 1 large egg
    • ¼ cup unsalted butter
    • 2 ½ tablespoons sugar
    • ½ teaspoon vanilla extract
    • 3 medium Braeburn or Gala apples
