Crushed New Potatoes with Crème Fraîche and Cracked Coriander

Ingredients

  • 1 ½ pounds new potatoes or fingerlings, scrubbed
  • Sea salt (such as Fleur de Sel)
  • 2 tablespoons unsalted European-style butter
  • Freshly ground black pepper to taste
  • Kosher salt or table salt
  • 1 tablespoon coriander seeds
  • 2 tablespoons snipped fresh chives (optional)

    • ½ cup crème fraîche
