Cumberland Wine Sauce


  • ½ cup(s) red currant jelly
  • 1 tablespoon(s) grated orange zest (from one orange)
  • ½ cup(s) red wine (cabernet or merlot)
  • 1/3 cup(s) fresh orange juice
  • 2 tablespoon(s) sugar
  • 1/8 teaspoon(s) salt
  • 1 dash(s) cayenne pepper

Pour jelly and grated orange rind in a bowl and beat well. Add remaining ingredients, stir until thoroughly blended.
