Ingredients

  • ½ cup ketchup
  • 1 teaspoon curry powder
  • ¼ cup finely chopped "shallot":http://www.chow.com/ingredients/94 (from about 1 medium shallot)
  • 2 teaspoons vegetable oil

Heat the oil in a medium frying pan over medium-low heat until shimmering. Add the shallots and curry and cook, stirring often, until the shallots have softened, about 4 minutes. Remove from heat and stir in the ketchup. Transfer to a bowl and serve with french fries or potato tots .
