Ingredients

  • 1 ounce unsweetened chocolate
  • 9 tablespoons red-and-white-striped hard peppermint candies
  • ¼ cup light corn syrup
  • 1 ¼ cups whipping cream
  • 4 ½ teaspoons whole milk
  • ¼ teaspoon salt
  • 12 ounces bittersweet (not unsweetened) or semisweet chocolate
  • + 8 more ingredients
    • 10 tablespoons unsalted butter
    • ¼ teaspoon baking powder
    • 1/3 cup powdered sugar
    • 1 ¼ cups all purpose flour
    • 1 ¾ teaspoons peppermint extract
    • ¾ cup powdered sugar
    • 3 ½ cups whipping cream
    • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

Blend first 4 ingredients in processor. Add butter and vanilla; cut in using on/off turns until butter forms pea-size pieces.
