Dewberry Cobbler


  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • ¾ cup shortening
  • Vanilla ice cream
  • 2 eggs, beaten
  • ¼ cup milk
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 2 ¼ cups all-purpose flour
  • + 2 more ingredients
    • 2 cups sugar
    • 5 cups fresh dewberries or blackberries

Combine flour and salt in a large mixing bowl, stirring well; cut in shortening with a pastry blender until mixture resembles coarse meal.
