  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice
  • 4 Golden Delicious apples (4 to 6 oz. each)
  • 1 large egg, beaten to blend with 1 tablespoon water
  • Vanilla ice cream (optional)
  • 2/3 cup pecan halves
  • 1 sheet frozen puff pastry (half of a 17.3-oz. package), thawed
