Ingredients

  • 1-¾ tsp. baking powder
  • 3 oz. (¾ cup) slivered almonds, toasted
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 11-¼ oz. (2-½ cups) unbleached all-purpose flour; more as needed
  • ½ tsp. pure almond extract
  • 3 Tbs. kirsch or brandy
  • 9 oz. (1-¾ cups) dried cherries
  • + 3 more ingredients
    • ¾ tsp. table salt
    • 14 to 16 oz. white chocolate, chopped
    • 3 large eggs
