Dulce de Leche and Chocolate Chunk Bread Pudding

  • 2 large egg yolks
  • 4 tablespoons unsalted butter
  • 4 large eggs
  • 2 tablespoons sugar
  • 8 1/2-inch-thick slices egg bread
  • 1 cup dulce de leche ice cream topping or butterscotch-caramel sauce
  • 1 pinch salt
  • + 6 more ingredients
    • confectioners' sugar
    • 1 ½ cups heavy whipping cream
    • 2 tablespoons dark rum
    • ½ cup bittersweet chocolate chips
    • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
    • more sauce for serving

Preheat oven to 350°F. Place bread in large bowl. Drizzle with 3 tablespoons melted butter; toss. Transfer to rimmed baking sheet.
