Easy Caesar Salad

Ingredients

  • 3 canned anchovy fillets, patted dry and finely chopped
  • ¼ teaspoon Dijon mustard
  • 1 (10-ounce) package chopped romaine lettuce
  • 3 ounces French bread, cut into 1/2-inch cubes (about 3 1/2 cups)
  • 1 tablespoon water
  • 2 garlic cloves, crushed
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • + 8 more ingredients
    • 1 tablespoon fresh lemon juice
    • ½ teaspoon freshly ground black pepper
    • 1 tablespoon red wine vinegar
    • 1 tablespoon water
    • ¼ cup (1 ounce) grated fresh Parmesan cheese
    • 1 large egg yolk
    • 1/8 teaspoon salt
    • 1 tablespoon red wine vinegar

Heat oil in a small saucepan over medium heat. Stir in garlic. Remove pan from heat; let stand 5 minutes. Remove garlic from oil with a slotted spoon; discard garlic. Preheat broiler.
