Easy Yeast Bread

Ingredients

  • 2 eggs, beaten
  • 2 cups milk, scalded
  • 6 cups all-purpose flour
  • 2 packages dry yeast
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • ¼ cup warm water (105° to 115°)
  • ½ cup butter or margarine
  • + 2 more ingredients
    • 2 tablespoons butter or margarine, melted
    • ¼ cup sugar, divided

Combine yeast, 1 teaspoon sugar, and warm water in a large mixing bowl, stirring well. Let stand 5 minutes or until bubbly.
