Fennel-Crusted Ahi Tuna with Lemon Aoli Over Couscous

Ingredients

  • 1 ½ teaspoons kosher salt
  • 2 cups couscous
  • 2 teaspoons fresh thyme
  • ½ pound sugar snap peas
  • ½ cup extra-virgin olive oil
  • 2 teaspoons fennel seeds
  • 3 tablespoons fresh chives
  • + 10 more ingredients
    • 2 tablespoons fresh lemon juice
    • 1/3 cup mayonnaise
    • 2 ¼ cups water
    • ¼ cup red onion
    • 2 ½ pounds ahi tuna steaks (about 1 1/4 inches thick)
    • 2 tablespoons fresh dill
    • 1 carrot
    • 4 garlic cloves
    • 1 teaspoon whole black peppercorns
    • 1 teaspoon coriander seeds

Combine first 3 ingredients in heavy small skillet. Toast over medium heat until fragrant, shaking skillet occasionally, about 3 minutes. Grind spice mixture in spice grinder.
