Fig and Hazelnut Tarts

Ingredients

  • Non stick vegetable-oil spray
  • 2 teaspoons grated lemon zest
  • ½ cup plus 1 tablespoon confectioners' sugar
  • 2 tablespoons all-purpose flour
  • 1 ½ cups skinned (6 ounces) hazelnuts, toasted
  • 1/8 teaspoon freshly ground black pepper
  • 1 tablespoon brandy
  • + 4 more ingredients
    • 2 tablespoons unsalted butter, melted and cooled
    • 1 egg white
    • 1 large egg
    • 8 fresh figs, preferably Black Mission

1. Heat oven to 375 degrees. Cut 6 figs into 3/4-inch dice. Set aside in a bowl. 2. In a food processor, process nuts until medium fine.
