Ingredients

  • 6 ounces (1/2 pint) blackberries, rinsed
  • 1 ½ teaspoons freshly grated orange zest
  • ½ cup fresh orange juice
  • 2 pounds (about 2 pints) ripe figs, rinsed, stem ends trimmed, and cut into quarters
  • ¾ cup sugar
