Five-Spice Sweet Potato Pie

Ingredients

  • ½ teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 2 tablespoons butter, softened
  • ½ cup 2% reduced-fat milk
  • 3 large eggs, lightly beaten
  • ¼ teaspoon ground nutmeg
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 2 pounds sweet potatoes (about 5 medium)

    • ¾ cup packed brown sugar
    • ½ (15-ounce) package refrigerated pie dough (such as Pillsbury)
    • ¼ teaspoon salt
    • ½ teaspoon five-spice powder or pumpkin pie spice

Preheat oven to 375°. Pierce sweet potatoes several times with a fork. Place sweet potatoes on a baking sheet. Bake at 375° for 1 hour and 15 minutes or until tender. Cool slightly.
