  • 2 cup(s) sifted, unbleached flour
  • 4 teaspoon(s) baking powder
  • 3 tablespoon(s) sugar
  • ½ cup(s) butter, chilled
  • ¾ cup(s) Milk
  • ½ teaspoon(s) Salt
  • ½ teaspoon(s) cream of tarter

Sift together in a large bowl: flour, baking powder, sugar, salt, and cream of tarter. Cut in butter until bits of butter are the size of peas. Mix in the milk, only until ingredients are blended.
