Fried Apple Pies (Kind Of)


  • 2 tablespoon honey
  • Water
  • 1 (10-ounce) can flaky biscuit dough, separated into individual biscuits
  • 1 tablespoon unsalted butter
  • nutmeg
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • ½ cup granulated sugar or Florida Crystals
  • + 2 more ingredients
    • 1 cup water, apple juice or cranberry juice
    • 3 apples, peeled, cored and chopped into medium pieces (gala, fuji, Granny Smith or a combination)

Place apples in a medium saucepan with water, sugar, cinnamon and nutmeg. Bring to a boil, reduce heat and simmer 20 minutes, uncovered, mashing occasionally with a fork until thickened and tender.
