  • ½ cup(s) corn meal
  • ½ cup(s) flour
  • vegetable oil
  • salt and pepper to taste
  • 1 egg, beaten
  • 2 green tomatoes (large)

Slice tomatoes 1/4" thick. Keep an iron skillet well oiled on medium heat. Mix flour and corn meal. Dip each slice of tomato in the egg.
