Fried Onion Rings 5

Ingredients

• 2 cup(s) buttermilk
• 4 onions, thickly sliced (½") (large)
• Cooking oil
• 2 Eggs, beaten
• 4 cup(s) milk
• 2 teaspoon(s) sugar
• 1 teaspoon(s) Salt

• • 3 tablespoon(s) onion powder
  • 1 cup(s) cornmeal
  • 3 ½ cup(s) flour

Separate onions into rings. Soak in buttermilk overnight. Mix flour, cornmeal, onion powder, salt and sugar. Combine milk and eggs and add to dry mixture. Heat oil to 375° in large pot.
