Frozen Praline Mousse Cake

Ingredients

  • 2 cups chilled whipping cream
  • 2 teaspoons instant espresso powder
  • 2 tablespoons Irish cream liqueur
  • 1 tablespoon dark corn syrup
  • 1 large egg
  • 6 large egg yolks
  • 2 tablespoons plus ¼ cup water

    • ½ cup plus ¾ cup sugar
    • 1 tablespoon all purpose flour
    • ¾ cup sliced almonds (about 3 ounces)
    • 1 1/3 cups whole almonds (about 6 ounces)
    • 4 large egg whites
    • 1 cup sugar
