Frozen Slaw

Ingredients

  • 3 teaspoon(s) salt
  • 9 ribs of celery
  • 1 green peppers, chopped
  • 3 teaspoon(s) mustard seed
  • 3 cup(s) white vinegar
  • 1 ½ cup(s) water
  • 5 cup(s) sugar
  • + 2 more ingredients
    • 3 teaspoon(s) celery seed
    • 3 cabbage, chopped or shredded (medium)

Sprinkle salt over cut cabbage and let stand for 1 hour. Squeeze out the liquid. Mix cabbage, celery,and green pepper. Mix remaining ingredients and bring to a boil. Cool and pour over cabbage mixture and freeze in containers. This slaw is fresh and crisp when defrosted.
