Ingredients

  • Bay Anglais
  • 1 ½ cups plus 1 tablespoon heavy whipping cream
  • 2 tablespoons poppy seeds
  • ½ cup cold butter, cut into pieces
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 2 ½ tablespoons baking powder
  • 1 tablespoon grated orange rind
  • + 8 more ingredients
    • Garnish: fresh mint
    • 3 cups sliced strawberries
    • 1 tablespoon chopped fresh mint
    • 1 cup chopped strawberries
    • Powdered sugar
    • 1 ½ tablespoons butter, melted
    • 1 teaspoon salt
    • 3 cups all-purpose flour

Prepare Bay Anglais. Cover and chill until ready to serve. Process sliced strawberries and sugar in a blender or food processor until pureed; pour strawberry mixture through a wire-mesh strainer into a bowl, discarding seeds.
