Gigi Oat and Chocolate Bars (MN)

Ingredients

  • 1 t vanilla extract
  • 1 (12-ounce) package semi-sweet chocolate chips
  • 2 T butter
  • 1 (14-ounce) can sweetened condensed milk
  • Filling:
  • 3 c uncooked quick oats
  • 1 t baking soda
  • + 9 more ingredients
    • 1 t salt
    • 2 t vanilla extract
    • 2 ½ c all purpose flour
    • 2 eggs
    • 2 c firmly packed brown sugar
    • 1 c butter, softened
    • Batter:
    • ½ t salt
    • ½ c chopped walnuts

Preheat the oven to 350 degrees. Lightly grease a 13 x 9-inch baking pan. Cream together the butter and brown sugar. Add the eggs and vanilla. Stir in the flour, salt, and baking soda.
