Ingredients

  • 2 Tbs. plus 1-½ tsp. molasses
  • 4-½ tsp. honey
  • 9 oz. (2 cups) all-purpose flour (I prefer King Arthur)
  • ½ tsp. ground cloves
  • 6-½ oz. (13 Tbs.) unsalted butter, softened at room temperature
  • 1-¼ tsp. ground cinnamon
  • 2-½ tsp. ground ginger
  • + 5 more ingredients
    • 1-1/3 cups granulated sugar
    • Confectioners’ sugar for sprinkling
    • 1 tsp. baking soda
    • ¼ tsp. table salt
    • 2 extra-large eggs

Heat the oven to 350°F and lightly grease a 13x9-inch baking pan. In a medium bowl, whisk the flour with the baking soda, salt, ginger, cinnamon, and cloves until blended.
