Ingredients
- 2 teaspoons ground cinnamon
- 3 tablespoons crystallized ginger
- 2 ½ cups all purpose flour
- 2 teaspoons ground ginger
- Crystallized ginger slices
- 3 cups whipping cream
- ¾ cup stout (beer)

- 6 tablespoons powdered sugar

- 1 ¼ cups golden brown sugar
Preheat oven to 350°F. Butter and flour two 9-inch-diameter cake pans with 2-inch-high sides. Sift first 6 ingredients into medium bowl; set aside.
