Ingredients

  • 2 ¾ cups all-purpose flour, plus more for the work surface
  • ¼ teaspoon ground cloves
  • ½ cup molasses
  • ¼ teaspoon kosher salt
  • ½ teaspoon baking soda
  • 1 large egg
