Ingredients

  • 2 tablespoons honey
  • ¼ teaspoon ground cloves
  • 1 ¼ cups all purpose flour
  • 1 ½ teaspoons grated lemon peel
  • 1 large egg
  • ½ cup dark brown sugar
  • ½ cup vegetable oil
  • + 10 more ingredients
    • ¼ cup crystallized ginger
    • ¼ teaspoon salt
    • 1 teaspoon baking soda
    • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
    • 2 teaspoons ground ginger
    • 1 8-ounce package mascarpone cheese
    • ½ cup mild-flavored (light) molasses
    • 1 tablespoon fresh lemon juice
    • Powdered sugar
    • ½ cup water

Whisk mascarpone cheese, honey, and lemon juice in small bowl to blend. Cover; chill until ready to serve. (Can be made 1 day ahead; keep chilled.) Preheat oven to 350°F.
