Glazed Lemon Poppy-Seed Cake

- ¾ cup granulated sugar
- 1 cup unsalted butter
- 1 teaspoon baking powder
- 1 ¼ cups all-purpose flour
- 3 tablespoons fresh lemon juice
- 1 ½ cups confectioners sugar
- 2 large eggs
