Gran’s Mandel Brudt

Ingredients

• ½-1 cup of slivered almonds and/or chopped dried cherries (optional)
• 1 tsp baking powder
• ½ tsp table salt
• 3 cups all-purpose flour
• 1 Tbsp vanilla
• 3 eggs
• 1 cup sugar
• + 1 more ingredients
• • 1 cup Crisco (the original recipe called for Spry)
