Ingredients

  • 4 large egg yolks
  • 1 ¼ cups whole milk
  • ½ cup all-purpose flour
  • large baking pan
  • 4 tablespoons butter
  • plus additional for coating ramekins
  • ½ cup sugar

    • 6 (8-ounce) ramekins
    • 5 large egg whites
    • ½ cup sugar
    • plus additional for coating ramekins
    • 16 small amaretti cookies
    • Confectioners' sugar, crème anglaise
    • 2 tablespoons Grand Marnier
    • ½ vanilla bean

Preheat oven to 375°F. Generously butter ramekins and coat with sugar, knocking out excess. Bring large saucepan of water to boil.
