Grandma's Blackberry Cake

Ingredients

• Whipped cream
• ¾ cup buttermilk
• ¼ teaspoon ground allspice
• ¼ teaspoon ground cloves
• ½ teaspoon salt
• 1 teaspoon ground nutmeg
• 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon

  • 2 eggs
  • 1 cup sugar
  • ½ cup butter or margarine, softened
  • 2 cups all-purpose flour, divided
  • 1 cup fresh blackberries

1. Toss blackberries with 2 tablespoons of flour; set aside. In a mixing bowl, cream butter and sugar. Add eggs; beat well.
