Grapefruit and Avocado Salad with Ginger-Cassis Dressing

Ingredients

  • 3 tablespoons crème de cassis (black-currant liqueur) or grenadine
  • 1 large avocado
  • 2 large Ruby Red grapefruits
  • 4 teaspoons Sherry wine vinegar
  • 2 tablespoons fresh ginger
  • 1 large head of butter lettuce
  • 3 tablespoons extra-virgin olive oil
  • + 1 more ingredients
    • 2 tablespoons shallots

Whisk first 5 ingredients in small bowl to blend. Season dressing very generously with salt and pepper. Cut off peel and white pith from grapefruits.
