Greek Meatball Pitas

Ingredients

  • ½ pound lean ground lamb
  • ¼ teaspoon black pepper
  • ½ cup plain low-fat yogurt
  • 8 (1/4-inch-thick) slices plum tomato
  • ½ cup diced cucumber
  • ¾ teaspoon salt
  • ½ teaspoon bottled minced garlic
  • + 7 more ingredients
    • ½ teaspoon sugar
    • 2 tablespoons finely chopped onion
    • ½ teaspoon dried oregano
    • 2 teaspoons finely chopped onion
    • 2 cups gourmet salad greens
    • 1 teaspoon dried dill
    • 2 (6-inch) pitas, cut in half

Preheat oven to 450°. Combine the first 6 ingredients. Shape mixture into 16 (1-inch) meatballs; place on a broiler pan. Bake at 450° for 12 minutes or until done.
