Greek Yogurt with Fresh Pears and Toasted Walnuts

Ingredients

  • ½ cup walnuts, toasted and coarsely chopped
  • 2 cup Greek yogurt
  • 2 pears, peeled, cored and diced
  • 4 peppercorns
  • 1 star anise
  • 1 cinnamon stick
  • 1 cup sugar
  • + 1 more ingredients
    • 1 cup water

Combine water, sugar, spices and pears in a saucepan. Bring to a boil. Reduce heat and simmer until pears are tender, about 10 minutes. Place ½ cup of yogurt into each of 4 serving bowls. Top with pears and a little cooking liquid. Top with walnuts.
