Green Beans Italienne

Ingredients

  • ¼ teaspoon pepper
  • 3 (16-ounce) cans cut green beans, drained
  • ¾ teaspoon ground orégano
  • ¾ teaspoon dried whole basil
  • 3 (14 1/2-ounce) cans whole tomatoes, undrained and quartered
  • 1 cup chopped onion
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • + 1 more ingredients
    • ¼ cup plus 2 tablespoons butter or margarine

Sauté onion in butter in a large saucepan over low heat until tender. Add remaining ingredients; simmer 15 minutes or until thoroughly heated.
