  • ½ cup olive oil
  • ¼ cup fresh lemon juice
  • ½ teaspoon fresh ground pepper
  • Garnish: halved lemon slices
  • 2 pounds fresh asparagus
  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • 4 fresh artichokes
