Ingredients

  • 1 lemon
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 3 tablespoons olive oil
  • 2 tablespoons lemon juice
  • ¼ teaspoon pepper
  • 1 tablespoon plus 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 6 artichokes

Slice tops off artichokes, pull off small leaves, trim stems, and snip off thorny tips. In a large pot, bring 1 to 2 inches of water to a boil.
