Grilled Ham, Cheese, and Salami with Caper Relish

Ingredients

  • 3 tablespoons peperoncini
  • 3 ounces provolone cheese
  • 3 ounces Teleme or Fontina cheese, grated
  • 1 large shallot
  • 3 tablespoons butter
  • 4 teaspoons fresh oregano
  • ½ cup olive oil
  • + 7 more ingredients
    • 3 tablespoons capers
    • 3 tablespoons pitted brine-cured green olives
    • 1 rectangular 10 x 7 x 1 1/2-inch bread loaf (such as ciabatta)
    • 4 ounces sliced Italian Genoa salami
    • 1 cup iceberg lettuce
    • 4 ounces sliced Black Forest ham
    • 3 tablespoons white wine vinegar

Whisk first 4 ingredients in small bowl; season dressing with salt and pepper. Cut top crust (about 1/3 inch) off bread and discard. Cut bread horizontally in half.
