Grilled Rib-eye Steaks with Miso Butter

  • 2 tablespoons plus 1 tsp. white or yellow miso paste (see Notes)
  • Salt and freshly ground black pepper
  • 1 ½ teaspoons minced garlic
  • ½ cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 4 sweet onions, such as Walla Walla or Maui
  • About 3 tbsp. olive oil, divided
  • 1 tablespoon finely minced fresh chives
  • + 1 more ingredients
    • 4 boneless rib-eye steaks (3/4 to 1 in. thick)

1. In a small bowl, stir together butter, miso, chives, and garlic.
