Gruyère Tuna Melt

Ingredients

• 4 ounces finely grated Gruyère cheese

• Freshly ground black pepper
• Salt
• 2 tablespoons olive oil
• 8 (½-inch) slices good-quality sourdough bread
• 1 medium garlic clove, peeled
