Guacamole-Goat Cheese Toasts

Ingredients

  • ½ medium-size jalapeño pepper, seeded and chopped
  • 1 garlic clove, pressed
  • ¼ teaspoon coarsely ground pepper
  • ¼ teaspoon salt
  • 1 fresh tomatillo, husk removed
  • ½ cup crumbled goat cheese
  • 3 tablespoons finely chopped red onion, divided
  • + 5 more ingredients
    • 1 plum tomato, seeded and finely chopped
    • 2 ½ teaspoons fresh lime juice
    • 2 tablespoons olive oil
    • 2 ripe avocados
    • 1 (7-oz.) package miniature white pita rounds*
