Gül's Lentil Patties

Ingredients

  • 1 teaspoon paprika
  • Romaine lettuce leaves
  • 1 cup red lentils
  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • Lime wedges
  • 1 small onion, finely minced
  • 1/3 cup chopped fresh parsley

    • ¼ teaspoon ground cumin
    • 2 tablespoons tomato paste
    • 2 tablespoons olive oil
    • 1 cup uncooked bulgur wheat
    • 1/8 teaspoon ground red pepper
    • ¼ cup fresh lemon juice
    • 1/8 teaspoon freshly ground black pepper

Cook lentils, uncovered, in water over medium-high heat 12 to 15 minutes or until tender (do not drain). Stir in tomato paste and bulgur; cover and let stand 20 minutes.
