  • 2 sticks (8 ounces) cold unsalted butter, cut into pieces
  • 2 teaspoons anise seed
  • ¼ teaspoon fine salt
  • 1 ¾ cups all-purpose flour
  • ½ cup granulated sugar
  • 1 cup toasted hazelnuts, cooled
