Heirloom Tomato Salad With Fresh Lady Peas

Ingredients

  • 2 pounds assorted heirloom tomatoes, sliced into 1/4-inch rounds
  • Juice of 1 lemon (about 3 tablespoons)
  • ¼ cup cider vinegar
  • Sea salt, to taste
  • ¼ cup olive oil
  • 1 cup fresh lady peas or other fresh shell peas
  • ½ cup crumbled soft goat cheese
  • + 5 more ingredients
    • 4 fresh basil leaves, thinly sliced
    • 1 teaspoon sugar
    • Freshly ground black pepper, to taste
    • 1 jalapeño pepper, cored, seeded, and minced
    • 1 shallot, minced
