Ingredients

  • 1 ½ pounds wax beans
  • 2 tablespoons finely minced shallots
  • pepper
  • Salt
  • 1 ½ pounds green beans
  • ¼ cup extra-virgin olive oil
  • ½ cup fresh basil leaves
  • + 1 more ingredients
    • 2 tablespoons red-wine vinegar

1. Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil. Add the beans and cook until just tender, 4 to 5 minutes. Drain and run under cold water to stop the cooking process. Drain again and pat dry.
